It’s in the nature of these urns to live in harmony with the environment. Place it on wood, on leather, on marble or on velvet: in the living room, the bedroom, the office, bookshelf, desk or nightstand.

This is the victory of form over functionality: more of a visual element than a necessary one. We have given the curves a sense of order rather than thinking of death.

Ducati Monroe - Diego Perrone & Andrea Sala

Diego Perrone

Diego Perrone (b. Asti 1970) lives and works between Asti, Milan and Berlin. He uses a wide range of techniques and languages, from photography, to drawing, to glasswork, creating an interesting marriage between the use of classical procedures and conceptual art.

His works are also characterized by an acute reinterpretation of traditional themes and icons, from popular culture to more recent history.

In 2013 Perrone had a solo exhibition at the Museion in Bolzano and in 2017 at the Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa. He has also participated in Manifesta in 2000, the Venice Biennale (2003; 2013), the 4th Berlin Biennale (2006) and the 43rd Art Biennale in Basel (2012). His works have been hosted by leading international contemporary art institutions, including: La Triennale in Milan (2015), Castelli di Rivoli (2014), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Palazzo Grassi in Venice (2009), the New Museum in New York (2008), the Whitechapel Gallery in London (2008), the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York (2007), and the Centre Pompidou in Paris (2004).

Andrea Sala

Born in Como, Italy, in 1976, Andrea Sala lives and works in Milan, where he graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.

He imagines new environments and worlds by mixing present and future images, oscillating between reality, fiction and imagination. He pays special attention to the forms of design and architecture, questioning the materials that constitute them and their formal values. Taking inspiration from design objects, Andrea Sala appropriates and transforms existing forms, finding new potential and reshaping them into new aspects and contexts.

His works have gained international attention and have been exhibited in several venues, including the 9th Venice Architecture Biennale (2004), MAMCO Musée d'art moderne et contemporain in Geneva (2003), MACO, Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca (2007 ), Kaleidoscope Space in Milan (2010), La Maison Rouge in Paris (2012), Musée d'art de Joliette (2012), and Fondation Guido Molinari in Montréal (2012). His works are in the collection of MAXXI - Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo, Rome, at Banca Albertini Syz, Milan, and private collections. Some of his works were exhibited as part of the last Milan Triennale.
